Instagram has been a great media to connect people around the world. A simple #hashtag can lead you to meet new people online. Despite the distance, you easily connect because you share one common ground; pictures.

So a guy from Singapore named Amsyar, found me on the explore page. He was going to visit the UAE during that time so he took the chance of sending me a direct message to connect. I had a gut feeling he's a cool guy (if you're reading this, don't flatter yourself too much haha) so I replied back.

We spoke for about 2 weeks on and off, exchanging itineraries as he wants to stargaze and visit Hatta Dam. Good choice! Extra info, he got promoted during his police "camp" thingy. Congratulations!

Moving forward, they arrived Dubai 24th October, Saturday. Their first stop was Mall of the Emirates to eat at Cheesecake Factory. Hahaha! Not judging. They don't have that in Singapore. Then to Desert Safari afterward. That same day, I found out that my leave was not approved. Bummer! So he's kind enough to make me jealous and send me pictures from their adventure. Here are his shots that I love the most!

DAY 1 at Desert Safari - Hassan and Azan (October 25, 2015)

It was their first time to ride the camel hence the photo says it all. He told me a story that there was a lady who was slightly stepped on by a camel. My goodness, that's savage. They watched the Fire Play and Belly Dancing too during dinner.

DAY 2 - Abu Dhabi  Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (October 26, 2015)

These guys are troopers. They took a bus, got lost, but manage to still end up in Abu Dhabi just  to visit the Grand Mosque.

Day 3 - Bastakiya, Old Dubai (October 27, 2015)

"I want a hipster place". Well, this is the only accessible hipster place I know so I brought him at Bastakiya with Harold and Daryll. And met with the rest of the gang to eat dinner. I was the subject for a little while so excuse my face.

Day 4 - At The Top, Burj Khalifa (October 28, 2015)

Their last day was spent at the top of Burj Khalifa around 4:30 in the afternoon, then went straight to the airport to catch their 9:30 PM flight.

Metro Shots (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

It was nice meeting you, man! It was short but amazing. it'll be "see you soon" and not goodbye. I hope Dubai treated you well. Cheers to your first Filipino food ever (caldereta and kare-kare). Keep taking dope photos around!
