I never loved the idea of wearing prescription glasses. Unfortunately, because of spending too much time in front of the computer, reading, and doing my makeup in the dark, I had to get one. I started wearing prescription glasses in 2009 — can't believe it's been 8 years. BUT, there was no regularity to it. I couldn't stand wearing eyeglasses for a long time so I end up removing it. My other alternative was buying clear prescription contact lenses so it sits there just nicely. The only disadvantage about it is that I couldn't take naps in between the day as it dries out and the struggle is real if you know what I mean. I was a bit hesitant when contacted me late last year for a collaboration but it never pushed through because of delivery issues. Around mid-June this year, they reached out to me again and this time, even if I was hesitant, I said yes! I checked their glasses online and to my surprise, they were super cheap. Let me clear that out; cheap doesn't always mean low-quality. Their glasses were cheap but after going through thorough reading, I found out that their frames are super reliable. Can you believe that my previous prescription glasses were from Versace and it cost me AED 800. I don't even remember why I bought them, but I remember that cat-eye frames were so in so I gave in to the trend. So when I say Glasses Shop is cheap, it'll cost you an average of $20 to $50 to get a pair with super high-quality lenses.

Now that I know what's best for my face structure, I chose the Glenview Round in Golden and it didn't disappoint. If you don't know already, my love for round glasses are unreal plus the fact that it was in gold was right on! The frame does not hurt my nose bridge and the tightness on my temple sides was perfect. It may look thin and sleek but the frames are steady. I love how weightless it feels when I'm wearing it. Even my friends say so when they tried it. You'd be surprised that this specific frame only costs $34.95!

I have yet to change the lenses because I haven't visited an ophthalmologist for the longest time and I wanted to have the correct prescription (you can tell from the lenses' serial number 😛). I'm sure you've seen me wear this on my Instagram + stories so you be the judge. Does it fit me? Did it look comfy?

As always, we want you to experience the best of their glasses. and I prepared a code just for you.
