LET'S EAT: TRESIND DUBAI
Dining at Tresind took us on a gastronomic journey. More than devouring the food, we witnessed how our food was made on a personal touch. It was like watching a cooking show but just for our own table. Rich with so many flavors and fascinating plating techniques, Tresind raised the bar high. Our taste-buds differ from each other and there might be some delicacies that will contrast to what is good/pleasing for me so here are the dishes we tried.
› Chicken Cafreal. Boneless chicken pieces marinated in a flavorful coriander and bell-pepper concoction hence the color of the food. This food is served in a molcajete. How cool is that? taste: 3/5 › Deconstructed Pani Puri. A one-gulp starter that was on a spherification process. It looks glutenous at first glance but liquid-y once it pops inside the mouth. taste: 0/5
› Tandoor Braised Lamb chops. Ah, I love this so much. I'm not sure how to describe a lamb-chop because i'll be honest, this was the first ever lamb dish that didn't give me a bad stomach. taste: 5/5 › Chaat Trolley. Comes with a tangy hot & sweet taste consisting of sponge cakes that turned into crisp looking croutons, fried vegetables, and pomegranate seeds. taste: 4/5
› Black Moore Australian Wagyu. All the way from Australia, a wagyu beef in a garlic gravy dressing served with 4 different achar pickles, and some vegetables that tasted similar to kimchi. taste: 5/5 › Sea Bass Recheado. Deconstructed stir fried dish assembled right in front of you. The taste is coming from a delectable koream ssämjang sauce and hot-pan vegetables. Oh, and some edible flowers. taste: 4/5
And those were just Starters. Wagyu and Lamb for starters? C'mon. So before we head to the main course, this ice-cream looking scoop is to cleanse the throat and prepare the tastebuds for the next dishes. I'm sure you guys saw the Lava Lamp on my Instagram story (if not, i'll post it on my Snapchat so follow me!). Lava Lamp is a rum-based lemonade served in a long flask topped with blueberries, mango passion fruit, and red currant. Tasty! taste: 5/5
› Lamb Biryani. Well cooked leg of a lamb served with saffron Basmati rice in a puddle of yogurt. taste: 4/5 › Butter Naan and Butter. No better description than GO AND TRY FOR YOURSELF. This dish is topnotch! taste: 10/5 yep.
COCKTAILS AND DESSERTS
› Scottish on the Rose. Hendricks Scottish Rum base infused with cucumber and mint lemonade; belgian petals floating inside. I'm not sure how to fully detail this but it's sweet and tangy at the same time with a hint of spice in it. Or maybe it's just me. taste: 3/5 › Indian Summer. Mix of freshly squeezed orange and pomegranate muddled with Bombay Sapphire with a chaat masala rim. taste: 1/5
› Deconstructed Forest Cake. I seriously have to go back and have this again. Never did I crave for a black forest cake, but this one is crazy good. Everything is in it; caramel, chocolate, vanilla, ice cream, etc. What more could you ask for? This serves up to 3 people but if you are not that kind to share, you can devour it on your own. taste: 10/5 yep. › Daulat Ki Chaat. Translated as "Chaat of Wealth", a foam looking dessert garnished with 24 carat gold leaf. This tasted like soap to us but i'm sure others will detest this opinion because a lot of people like it. I'm not a fan of it. taste: 0/5
This was my first visit at Tresind, and definitely not the last. I might not have rated some of the dishes well but I already know my favorites. Trust me, it's always better when you eat it than stare at it on pictures. If you like venturing to different cuisines, Tresind is the place to be. Please do share your experience with me when you visit.
Once again, Thank you Tresind Dubai for having us!
