LET'S EAT: BERTIN ON THE YARD
Disclaimer: This post is about to make you crave for food so read at your own risk.
I love food but I was never a foodie before I started blogging. I used to not eat a lot and be picky about the foods I eat because I wanna make sure I always have a happy tummy. So normally, I order foods that are easy to pronounce and familiar to my taste-buds. But blogging gave me an opportunity to update my waistline from small to medium, I guess I'm loving the idea of stuffing myself with food I've never heard about.
Last Saturday, 16th of January, I was invited to review Bertin Bistro and Restaurant for their #BertinOnTheYard event. This eatery along Sheikh Zayed Road installed pop-up shops for diners to bag home some goodies. The weather was beautiful, the people were nice and accommodating, and the ambiance itself is perfect for family and friends.
I've always loved pop-up shops. There are so many underrated beautiful artists here in the UAE that showcase their talent during events like this. My favorites were Numinous Accessories and ShoeQ amongst the beautiful shops around. Plus, a face-painting for kids was set up as well for them to enjoy while moms are shopping.
Ambiance: Marble tables and minimal designs match their gold and white elegant restaurant but surely friendly to the eyes. The staff will approach you IF you ask them too, and the managers reassure that we are set and everything we ordered was given.
Food: Yummy from breakfast down to dinner. I found the salmon itchy for me compared to other restaurants but nevertheless, it was tasty. They have a big range of food menu plus desserts and smoothies on the side.
