AUTUMN/WINTER OUTFIT FOR PETITE LADIES
The cold season is definitely making its way in this part of the world. Though it’s not super cold compared to other countries but hey, we're grateful here!
I received a very interesting comment from Jen asking if I can do a blog post or vlog on how to dress up for petite women. So, Jen, this is for you, for all the petite ladies, and for those who are looking for an Autumn/Winter outfit!
Romwe has so much to offer this AW season and I made a round up of my favorite pieces and wishlist I specifically styled for this season that would fit petite ladies like me. What's great about Romwe is that you can find pieces that are starting from $5 — isn't that a steal? These items are perfect for people who like budgeting their shopping spends and for students who are saving up but also still getting the quality and style they want. I actually just recently ordered stuff from their website and I can't wait to show you what I got but for now, let's talk about my favorite pieces:
An oversized coat is always a yes. They say that the more chunky your clothes are, the tinier you look — I'd say that's a myth! I've been living the chunky life since forever and the best way to go about it is to know what to pair. In this photo, I paired the high-neck sweater with a super skinny ripped pants to highlight the curves of my lower body. You don't wanna look like a walking balloon, do you? Make sure that one of the ensembles is the opposite of the other. I just recently found out that pointed boots make your legs look longer too! Layer your piece 2,3, and 4 with that plaid coat and viola, you are ready to rock this outfit!
This look can pass as a brunch outfit turned classy chic at night. The oversized denim jacket can totally make a difference. During the day, you can go for a more casual fall look when wearing the denim but once you take that away from the look, you're ready for a fancy night. A note on wearing knee-high boots for petite ladies: make sure to show some skin or gap between the skirt/short/dress and boots to make you look longer. A lot of ladies style this with pants but I don't see it working for petite ladies.
I'm living for this look! I love how brown, white, and black looks so good together! Denim jeans are definitely for the day look and since I chose skinny jeans, I made sure to pair it with an oversized sweater and a furry sleeveless coat. What makes this look sophisticated are the hat and the mid-length boots — I wouldn't mind wearing this look on a casual day. Tip for petite ladies: Batwing sleeves make your arms look longer so always opt for styles like this!
I love all the lookbook I made but I must say, this is my top 1! The all-black ensemble is definitely a killer look — sneakers is always a good idea, too. This is something I could wear on a daily basis and I love that I can add and remove items from this look, and make a whole new feel out of it! Another tip for petite ladies, make sure that your dress is above your knees to portray a taller look than usual. Ribbed jackets are good to pair with dresses and longer jackets for jeans.
There you have it! These are my wishlist lookbook from Romwe. I love all of the looks I created but I personally love no.6 the most because says a lot about my style. All clothes are linked in case you can't wait to shop and can be found on Romwe's website at such affordable prices. You also get up to 60% off on your first order — I highly recommend to check out the pieces now as some of these are new arrivals as well!
But wait, before you go...
