WHAT I WORE DURING MY TRIP TO NEW YORK

If you follow me on Instagram, then you should know by now that I am...well I was in New York City. This trip was my 2nd time in #NYC, and our agenda was to explore and eat with no work in mind. I didn't entirely prepare outfits ahead of time, but I made sure to bring staple styles that I could mix and match. And because it was going to be a walking trip, I considered bringing comfortable shoes and boots.

At one point, I was wearing a striped pants but I had to stop by Zara because they finally released the skirt I’ve been waiting for! Truth be told, I got excited and I immediately changed after purchasing the skirt. Overall, I’m not the type to bring a whole wardrobe change when walking around, so what you saw on my Instagram was the outfit I wore the whole day.

DAY 1 | TRAVEL OUTFIT

“Comfy but fashun” is the definition of my ootd when traveling. It was 3.5 hours trip to NYC from Maryland so I made sure to wear something breathable, light, and accurate for the city weather once we reached. I always opt for leggings because I don't have to worry about my tummy getting squeezed. High-waisted pants can get uncomfortable especially if you will be sitting for almost 4 hours. Then I paired it with an oversized jacket that I got from Rent The Runway.

DAY 1 | OOTD

I didn't think this outfit through, and although I didn't regret wearing this outfit, it got windy after sunset, and my legs were freezing. But overall, this look was comfortable and super chic for a day walking trip in the city. I've gotten many compliments on this lace top. Unfortunately, the white is sold out, but the black is still available!

DAY 2 | OOTD

Confession: I finally achieved this look. I've been waiting for the perfect silk skirt with the ideal length for a petite girl like me, and Zara released it a few weeks ago for their SS19 collection. I paired my printed skirt with a cropped tea that I tied a little higher to show a little skin/gap and layered with a faux fur jacket that matched my vegan leather boots.

We climbed The Vessel via stairs so best believe I came prepared and packed sneakers with me. This was my favorite look during our trip!

DAY 3 | OOTD

My last and final look, I wore my trusty Dr. Martens for our last full day in NYC. We started the day early, so I decided not to wear my extensions and opted for a more natural look, and by natural, I meant all-black. I threw in my coat to combat the cold and well, add a little color. Although the outfit looked so put together, it was very comfortable!

I wouldn't say it's fully Spring in New York by now because it is still around 50s so do yourself a favor and pack a coat or two. I'm glad that NYC is just 4 hours away and I can go whenever I want to, and the next time, I'll make sure to visit during the summertime when I do not have to worry about layering!

I hope you guys loved these outfits as much as I did. And if you did, let me know your favorite look. Also, don’t forget to share some love on my Instagram posts.
