WHAT'S THE FONT?
I've been curating my Instagram story and by curating I mean, using a different font outside Instagram. A lot of people messaged and asked how I do it and what fonts I use.First, I use the app Phonto where I can directly install fonts downloaded from dafont.com and 1001fonts.com; pretty easy. Now for Instagram, it usually crops the photo so I suggest zoom and screenshot your desired photo on camera roll (that is the size of insta-story photo). Once you import the photo on Phonto, it'll be easier to position the text to fit for Instagram.
I have my Macbook and Reflector app back so expect a vlog on how I do my instastory and edit my photos. Stay tuned!
Based on my personal experience, 60% of putting up a blog is usually spent on finding the perfect font. Hello! There are like thousands out there, where do you even start? I have an answer for that: understand typeface. Typeface is a family or series of fonts that share common characteristics. Because I like to keep it minimal, shape and size matter a lot; consistency is beautiful.
Without further ado, let me share you the fonts I use for my featured blog images, insta-story, and captions through bible verses.
free font by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. It has grown in popularity and become something like the “Helvetica of the free fonts”. Usage: featured images here on the blog and my Insta story captions.
free font by Julieta Ulanovsky. Charming font under Sans Serif classification. Usage: substitute for the title but mostly sub-headings.
free font by Mans Greback. A quick, handwritten and monoline script font. Usage: subtitle on featured image.
I bought this font at Creative Market for $16. I wanted a cursive font for my photo captions. It is a bundle of lowercase and all caps version plus a doodle pack. Usage: photo captions on the blog. see here: http://www.marjanne.co/extra-boost-for-losing-weight
These fonts are beautiful and I suggest download it now and install Phonto if you haven't already. If you are looking to buy a font to make your blog/vlog more you, visit Creative Marketand register.
