GIRLS DAY OUT AT FOLLAIN
Last 9th of June, I hosted a Girls Day Out at Follain Bethesda Row and invited some of my amazing #DCBlogger friends. Because of everyone’s busy schedule, we only get to see each other during events, so I thought a Sunday date with them would be amazing. Follain prepared a yummy breakfast for us; yogurt parfait (which I am so obsessed now), and I bought some croissants for pairing. We also had mimosas for everyone!
It was a very chill and relaxed day, and we got to talk about #CleanBeauty. I got to share how I started and why I started, and what my favorite and go-to products I currently love that I discovered through Follain. During my talk, I talked about how caring for my skin changed my perspective with makeup. When I was younger, I used makeup to cover my insecurities, blemishes, and all the little stuff that don’t belong. For me, it was a way of hiding my flaws because I was embarrassed. But as I grew older, I learned how properly care for my skin and pick the right ingredients that make a skincare “clean.” Now, I use makeup to enhance my features and embrace my flaws, because that’s what makes me, me. Best believe it’s so much easier to put makeup on when your skin is already at its best.
Tiffany, from Follain, also shared the company’s process on how Follain does their approval process and rigorously check every ingredient before they sell it to their stores. Follain carries restricted ingredients because they don’t want to compromise when it comes to toxins in their products. Isn’t that amazing? A company who not only cares about getting the money from consumers but making sure that every consumer put their health first. ✨
It was such a fun and informative day! We had a masking station, soap station, and makeup station. Tiffany and Niya were super helpful to everyone who had questions and was new to Clean Beauty. It was a good turn out! What’s more awesome was I met some bloggers whom I only know online but are also lovers of clean skincare! 🌿
I’m so grateful for everyone who came and even shared their experience on Instagram. These ladies are amazing! Go check out their Instagram profile for more DC HAPPENINGS. 👯♀️
